Mental Health Counseling
The ways in which I help individuals find relief is through an open and compassionate connection in the psychotherapeutic space. I focus on how you and I connect, and what comes between that connection, as a way to explore what disconnects you from the rest of the world, and from yourself; while doing so, we would work to create more room for emotions and thoughts that are causing you distress, to gain not just an understanding of, but a connection to those thoughts and feelings - a new relationship with yourself, modeled from the compassionate, kind, and curious space that we create together. It is my goal and determination not to push or pull you in any specific direction, or to force you to change, but rather to walk with you toward your subjective truth.
Within this space, I am informed by different philosophies and schools of thought, including, but not limited to: Existential Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Theory, Internal Family Systems, Neurobiology, Brainspotting, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
If you have specific questions about how I practice, you are free to send me a secure message through my contact form, or reach out via phone call or text message (secured through Spruce Health, a HIPAA compliant platform for client/counselor communication). That being said, I would recommend a consultation, as the best way to gain understanding of these processes to simply see how it feels to meet and connect.
Who I Work With
I typically work with individual clients who are 18 or older on issues or concerns involving Complex Post-traumatic Stress (i.e. “Relational Trauma”), Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Guilt/Shame, and adjustments/life transitions.
I have experience working with most walks of life, but I find that my style most resonates with women, neurodiverse (ADHD/Autistic) folks, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other mental health clinicians. The best way to determine if we work well together is to schedule an initial consultation to feel out the space between us.
I currently offer in person and telehealth (video) options for sessions.
Insurance and Fees
I currently accept PacificSource (OHP and Commercial), OHP Open Card, MODA, Regence (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), and First Choice. If your insurance allows for out-of-network reimbursement, I can also provide you a statement to send to your company for you to receive partial reimbursement if you are paying out of pocket.
For self-paying clients, fees vary depending on time of session and service rendered:
Individual 53+ minute psychotherapy: $225
Individual 37-53 minute psychotherapy: $175
Assessment: $250
I offer sliding scale pricing, so please feel free to reach out to me regarding accommodations.
